Vietnam tour is attached with the time for experiencing local cuisine. Chefs who came to Vietnam from some countries, they call Vietnam as a world  kitchen where gathers the rich collection of culinary. It seems to have a borderless creativity in Vietnamese cuisine through the time. If you love Vietnamese cuisine, you may find out that richness in flavor and dishes specifically.

Vietnamese food

It is divided into 3 main culinary regions such as Northern cooking style, Middle cooking style and Southern cooking style. There is the certain standard in cooking in the North, the formalization in the Middle and comfort in the South. However these points do not make you to be fallen in the difficult situation if you have to choose one of them. Each region has its specific features related to cuisine.

If you are the person who loves to experience and discover the cuisine in Vietnam. It will take you a lot of time to know all the main points related. However it is simpler if you are a visitor who loves to enjoy some special features in each regions or all places where you have the tour passed through.

In the North, most of dishes have the standard about flavor and spices. They are not so spicy or fat or sweet. It is different completely from dishes in the South where the dishes have the sweetness, fat. And in the Middle, the dishes are spicy, salty. They are rich in the ingredients combined in the dishes to become the color and strong flavor dishes more than the dishes from the North and the South.

Following the main features as above you may realize the local flavor easier. Example the noodle in the North has not so much spice, the noodle from the South is sweet a little bit and the noodle in the Middle is strong in flavor and eve it is spicy and there are many ingredients combined in the dish. Through out Vietnam if you travel, you may taste the typical dishes such as phở ( noodle), rice and sticky rice, hotspot, spring rolls, local salad and local cakes. It seems a short list right but it is not simple like that. You can find out a dozen of types for each name in each region with specific flavor.

Vietnamese drink

It is same with food, Vietnamese drink is rich in types. There are different main types included non alcohol and alcohol drinks.

For the non alcohol drink, you may find out the local drink made from the leaves, the buds, the roots etc. These types are good for health. There are the drinks from the fruits in which included the fresh fruits or the fruits soaked into the salt with water or fermentized for a time before using.

Vietnamese people have the habit in consuming tea and coffee popularly. These are the rich types and ways to do with tea and coffee in all the regions. It is said that there is the drinking tea and coffee as a habit in culture and cuisine. And it is very clear with a thousand of coffee shops and tea places along the roads you pass through.

For the alcohol drinks, there are local drinks base on the local ingredients. There are different types of alcohol drinks. They may be liquor from the rice, corn or wine from grapefruits. Vietnamese people use beer a lot. And related to beer there are two famous local brands of beer in Vietnam such as Hanoi Beer and Saigon Beer. Beside there is the long list of foreign beer brands used popularly in Vietnam such as Heineken, Bitburger, Chimay, Sapporo, Staropramen, Budweiser, Bavaria, etc.

Vietnam food and drink is so rich to explore. This conclusion is valued by the world chefs and world tourists who come to Vietnam. The interesting point is that the richness here does not make you to be in the hard situation to choose, enjoy or explore. Vietnamese food and drink are same with the Vietnamese hearts. They are so closed, friendly, warm, approachable, easy to know, simple to remember and unforgettable.
