Vietnam Islands

Vietnam has a lot of islands, islets thanks to the geographic position. For your beach holidays or exploring, you can spend your time in some famous islands, islets that own natural wonderful view, fresh air, nice beaches and of course also some interesting water sports and great specialities.

Here are some Vietnam Islands, islets that you may concern:  

-          Con Dao Island in Ba Ria Vung Tau Province: the famous island with historical sights and the wonderful beaches. You can take a boat from Vung Tau City to this island. If you love to save your time, a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao Island is the best choice for you.

-          Phu Quoc Island in Kien Giang Province: called the paradise for the beach holidays. You can take a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc Island with flying time about 45 minutes. A flight from Rach Gia to Phu Quoc is avalaible. If not, you can get a bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Rach Gia or Ha Tien and have a boat trip or speed boat from here to Phu Quoc Island. It takes you not so much time to transfer because Rach Gia and Ha Tien belongs to Kien Giang Province also.

At the moment, there are some straight flight from Russia to Phu Quoc Island. Especially in November 2014, there are two direct flights by Vietnam Airlines from the island to Singapore and Siem Reap – Cambodia. So, it is so convenient for you in the case that you have your holiday in Phu Quoc Island and then take a trip to Cambodia or Singapore. It is juts a direct flight to two destinations as you want without a transit flight in Ho Chi Minh City any more.

-          Ha Tien Island (Hai Tac Island/ Pirate Island): the island is great for fishing, relaxing with blue ocean and fresh air.

-          Nam Du Island: the island is in Kien Giang province. This is one of the best island here because of its wild nature, white sand beach and the corals.

-          Binh Ba Island in Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa Province: the island with wonderful beaches and lobsters. It is also called the lobster island because the lobsters here are so great. However by some local specific features, the island is not allowed to develop in tourism.

-          Cu Lao Re (Re Islet): called also Ly Son Island belongs to Quang Ngai province. It is far from the land about 30km with an hour by speed boat from Sa Ky Port. The islet is so impressed to people by the white beach, blue and calmm ocean. The islet is famous by seafood also and the great garlic especially.

-          Cu Lao Xanh ( Xanh Islet): also called Van Phi Island belongs to Quy Nhon City in Binh Dinh Province. Visit this islet, it takes you about 2 hours by boat with departure from Ham Tu Port. The islet is beautiful with peaceful beach. It has the rich seafood, wild landscapes and the old lighthouse over 100 years old.  

-          Phu Quy Island: belongs to Binh Thuan Province. The island is far from Phan Thiet City more than 100km in the south east. The time for boating from the land to this island is bout 3 hours. It does not develop in tourism in the past but it is a promise destination for visiting in the next years.

-          Long Son Island: in Ba Ria Vung Tau Province. The island is far from the land about 12km in the south west. Long Son Island is famous with the religious called Ong Tran and its temple was built in the old architecture that attracts people.

-          Ke Ga Islet:  the islet is in Binh Thuan Province. The islet is far from the land just some hundred of metres. It impresses people by the wonderful sun set and the old lighthouse in here.

-          Hon Khoai ( Khoai Islet) in Ca Mau: the islet is far from the land about 14.6km to the south west of the Nam Can Town. This is one of the potential destination for travelling because of its forest and the simple life that habitants here live.

-          Co To Island: the island is in Quang Ninh Province. There are some nice resorts here as Coto Lodge, Khanh Linh Hotel and homestays where you stay and enjoy the best time of exploring the island.

-          Quan Lan Island: in Quang Ninh Province. The island is famous with the wonderful beaches, fresh air and simple local life that attract many tourists.

-          Ngoc Vung Island: in Quang Ninh Province. This island is far from Van Don Wharf about 50km. There is the beach named Truong Chinh with its length about 3km. This is considered the best beach in the island with white sand and fresh air.

-          Islands and Islets in Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay: there are many islets with their nice beaches where you can sunbath, relax and have some water sports.

-          Cat Ba Island: belongs to Hai Phong City. It is not far from Ha Long city also the islets in the bays. Cat Ba Island and Cat Ba National Park, also Cat Hai Fishing Village are very popular diestinations to tourists in many years till now.

-          Tuan Chau Island: is not far from Ha Long City, this island has the complex area to serve tourists with the five stars hotel and resort, the entertainement area and restaurant.

-          Long Chau Island: is far from Cat Ba Island about 15km in the south east. This island is not popular to tourists now. There is the old lighthous in the island. It is known as one of the oldest lighthouse in Vietnam after the lighthouses in Dau Islet in Hai Phong City and Ke Ga Islet in Binh Thuan Province.

-          Bach Long Vi Island: the island belongs to Hai Phong City. It is far from Dau Islet about 110km. This island is wild and famous with seafood.
