Ba Ria Vung Tau

Ba Ria Vung Tau is one of the most popular destination that visitors love to come in the summer. The province belongs to the South East and far from Ho Chi Minh city about 100km, so it is very convenient for the beach holiday in the weekend.

How to get in

From Ho Chi Minh City, you can take a bus or coach to Vung Tau, the time for transfer is 2 hours. Some address for you to book the tickets to Vung Tau as Hoa Mai Coach ( in Pho Duc Chinh Str., Nguyen Thai Binh District; Tel: 08 38218927), Thien Phu Coach ( 88 Le Thi Hong Gam St., District 1; Tel: 08 35112958). If not you transfer by hydrofoil with the wharf located in Bach Dang Wharf, District 1. The time for moving by hydrofoil is about 1h30’ to 1h45’.

From other provinces to Vung Tau: you can take a coach for transfer to Vung Tau if you are in Dalat, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet. If you are in Ha Noi or Da Nang, you can take a flight or train to Ho Chi Minh city and then transfer to Vung Tau by car or hydrofoil.

Go around

For visiting in Ba Ria Vung Tau, you can take taxi or bus and motobike. Vung Tau is the city of tourists so it is very easy for you to find out an office or travel agency to serve your travelling in here.

It is the beach city so the beach time with swimming will be mentioned firstly to all visitors.

Bai Truoc ( Front beach): located in the southwest of the city, it is 10km long.

Bai Sau (  Rear Beach): located in the east of the city, it is about 5km long.

Bai Dua ( Peanapple Beach): located between Front Beach and Rear Beach, it is far from the center about 4km.

Bai Dau ( Strawberry Beach): located in the north of the city and far from the center about 3,5km.

Ho Coc Beach: located in Xuyen Moc Town. It is far from Vung Tau city about 65km.

Bai Vong Nguyet ( Vong Nguyet Beach): located in Nghinh Phong Cape. It is far from the city about 4km.

Bai Chi Linh ( Chi Linh Beach): located in Chi Linh Resort and far from vung Tau Center about 6km.

Bai Doi Nhai ( Doi Nhai Beach): located in Ward 11 in Vung Tau. It is far from Vung Tau Center about 11km.

There are some other intersting places for your visiting as Bach Dinh ( White Palace), Jesus Christ Statue, The Golf that are not far from the center. Beside some other destinations as Fishing Village in Phuoc Hai in Dat Do Town, Hot Spring in Binh Chau, Ho Tram Resort in Xuyen Moc Town etc.

For tourists who love the islands, Con Dao Island will be a great choice. Here you have time for relaxing in the best beach, friendly habitants and fresh seafood. From Vung Tau you can take a speed boat to Con Dao Island, if not you can take a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to this island with the time about 45 minutes.  

The weather

There are two seasons in Ba Ria – Vung Tau with the rain season from May to October and the dry season from November to April. The best time for visiting Vung Tau is in the dry season. However you can come here in the rain season too because it is not rain so much.

For food: Ba Ria – Vung Tau is the beach city so the best things for food be seafood of course.
